Biography
Azimjon Kuvandikov is an interdisciplinary researcher in accounting, management and corporate governance. He holds a PhD in Management from York Management School, University of York (UK) and a MA in Accounting and Finance from Lancaster University Management School, Lancaster University (UK). He teaches Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and Corporate Governance courses at Essex Business School, University of Essex (UK). His research interests include the governance roles of the boards of directors, activist shareholders, managerial equity ownership, market for corporate control, employment and performance impacts of M&As and other corporate restructurings. He has published in several academic journals, such as British Journal of Industrial Relations, British Journal of Management and Journal of Business Research. Before starting his academic career, Azimjon worked in one of the top four international accounting firms, where he provided financial consulting in the areas of accounting, auditing and company restructuring.
