Biography
Ville is a Knowledge Exchange Manager at the University of Essex working with academics in Essex Business School and the Faculty of Humanities to facilitate engagement and relationships with business, and the public and not-for-profit sectors. His role involves supporting Schools & Departments develop a strategic approach for knowledge exchange to help diversify income streams, build networks and relationships, commercialise research-led expertise and IP, and facilitate demonstration of research impact through knowledge exchange activities. He is part of the Senior Management Team of the ESRC-funded Human Rights, Big Data and Technology Project and co-ordinates Essex's involvement on the ERDF-funded KEEP+ and TALE business support programmes. Ville has previously worked for the Department for International Trade, Business Wales and Business Finland in trade development advisory and consultancy roles.
