Profile

Biography

I am currently a lecturer at University of Essex. Before Essex, I was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Amherst College in Massachusetts, USA during Fall 2019- Spring 2022, and a Visiting Assistant Professor at University of Connecticut (Fall 2018 and Spring 2019) in USA. Before that I was a Postdoctoral Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan from Fall 2014 to Spring 2018. My postdoc mentor was Mel Hochster. I received my PhD degree from University of Kentucky in 2014, under the supervision of Uwe Nagel. My research area is Commutative Algebra. I am mostly interested in monomial ideals, Gorenstein rings, Hilbert functions, syzygies and free resolutions of rings and modules. My interests also include Linkage (a.k.a. Liaison) Theory, Boij-Söderberg Theory and the intersections of Commutative algebra and Representation theory.
