Biography

A quantitative sociologist researching in the field of meta-research (that is, the study of research itself). Specifically, investigating the relationship between research culture, scientific norms, and research integrity, using secondary quantitative data analysis, survey methodologies and experimental designs. Prior to commencing a PhD at the University of Essex, I obtained an MSc in Social Cognition from University College London, and a BA in Sociology from the University of Essex. I've held several academic support roles in the higher education sector, and currently teach research methods and quantitative sociology as Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Sociology. I've also worked for Sense about Science, a charity advocating for the public interest in sound science, and have recently undertaken a research visit at the Meta-Research Innovation Centre at Stanford University. Outside of academia, I am a freelance videographer and spent time on the water.
