Udichibarna Bose is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Finance at the Essex Business School and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Prior to that, she gained her PhD in Economics from the University of Glasgow and was awarded the Adam Smith Business School (ASBS) Prize for PhD Excellence for her doctoral thesis. She gained her MSc. in Economics from the University of Essex and Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Delhi. Her research interests and ongoing research lies in the areas of financial economics, corporate finance, financial inclusion, firm performance and trade with a special focus on the emerging markets. She has received research grants from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), the UK-India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI) and the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF). She welcomes inquiries from potential PhD students.
