Biography

Before embarking on my PhD studies in 2023, I worked at the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, Republic of Azerbaijan in various positions, such as senior adviser, assistant to the Chairperson, and Head of International Relations Department for almost ten years. In addition, I worked as a lecturer at Baku State University in 2011 and 2014 and taught courses on International Organisations and History of Asian and African Countries. I also participated as a government member of the Gender Equality Commission of the Council of Europe to prepare draft Guidelines on the place of men and boys in gender equality policies and in policies to combat violence against women and Recommendation on protecting the rights of migrant, refugee and asylum-seeking women and girls. My PhD thesis focuses on the relationship between female MPs and their impact on women-friendly policies. The Azerbaijani Government Scholarship is supporting and funding my PhD studies.
