Biography
You Xu received the Ph.D. degree in information and communication engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2025. He was a Visiting Student Researcher with the University of Macau, Macau, China, from December 2021 to March 2022. He is currently a Senior Research Officer with the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering (CSEE), University of Essex, Colchester, U.K. He has served as a reviewer for several leading journals, including IEEE TWC, IEEE TVT, IEEE TCOM, IEEE TCSVT, IEEE OJ-COMS, IEEE IoTJ, and others. He received the IEEE PIMRC Student Travel Grant in 2025. His research interests include signal processing for wireless sensing and communications, with a focus on non-line-of-sight sensing and localization, RF/mmWave imaging, sparse Bayesian inference, parameter estimation, doubly dispersive and wideband channel analysis, AFDM waveform design, and AFDM-based integrated sensing and communications.
