Biography

Morag Stark joined the East 15 Southend team in January 2019 following her visiting work with the School’s Voice Department there since 2014. She is an alumna of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where she is also an associate member of the Centre for Voice in Performance. Other UK drama schools Morag has worked at include: Manchester Metropolitan University, Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance, and Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Recent voice and dialect coaching with professional actors includes work with BBC TV, Radio 4 and the National Theatre of Scotland. Following her BA in Dramatic Studies, Morag went on to qualify with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and furthered a busy and varied dual acting-teaching career for 25 years. In 2013 Morag decided to immerse herself full-time in her passion for voice work and was awarded a scholarship to study at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama on the MA Voice Studies programme. Her extensive voice and performance teaching experience includes work with young people and adults in schools, colleges, businesses and community organisations. She has also herself performed in over 50 professional productions for stage, radio and screen - with companies including the BBC, Scottish Screen, National Theatre of Scotland, Citizens Theatre, The Traverse and Dundee Reparatory Theatre. Morag is part of the Voice Studio International where she has been developing her practice of Nadine George Voicework since 1994.
