Biography
Alex is a Knowledge Exchange Manager at the University of Essex working with academics in the Schools of Life Sciences, Health and Social Care, Sport, Rehabilitation and Exercise Science and Psychology to facilitate engagement and relationships with business, and the public and not-for-profit sectors. His role involves supporting Schools & Departments develop a strategic approach for knowledge exchange to help diversify income streams, build networks and relationships, commercialise research-led expertise and IP, and facilitate demonstration of research impact through knowledge exchange activities. Prior to joining the REO Alex obtained his PhD from the University's School of Life Sciences, during which he worked closely with a local SME to modernise approaches to oyster farming.
