Dr Anasol Pena Rios



Currently, I am a Postdoctoral Researcher (KTP Associate) at the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering at the University of Essex (UK), and a Research Fellow at British Telecom Research Labs (UK). I am a Board Member of the Immersive Learning Research Network and I serve as an Associate Editor for MERLOT (Multimedia Educational Resources for Learning and Online Teaching) Computer Science Task Force. Additionally, I am a member of the IEEE, British Computer Society and Association for Learning Technology. My research interests lie in the areas of mixed, augmented and virtual reality, computational intelligence, internet-of-things, computer-supported collaborative work, technology-enhanced learning, and HCI. I have published numerous peer-reviewed papers in this topics, in addition to serve as chair, co-organiser, and program committee member of different IEEE-sponsored international conferences. I also have several years' industrial experience in financial institutions and retail companies, working in close collaboration with international multidisciplinary teams.
