Daniel King

Biography

I am a member of the Placements Team within the Faculty of Science & Health, providing support and guidance to students and placement providers. I joined the University in February 2017, initially providing support to the Catalyst project, a multi-million period project working closely with Essex and Suffolk County Councils to help improve and target services for vulnerable people. This included leading on the development of a community volunteering connector hub, bringing together interested parties from across the university, working closely with the Students' Union vTeam in boosting volunteering activities. I am also passionate about promoting the benefits of volunteering and am a Healthy University Champion - advocating staff volunteering. I have over 15 years experience working on a range community facing projects, across the public, private and voluntary sector.
