Fri 23 Mar 18
Earlier this month, young researchers at CSEE took part in the 2018 “Present Around the World” competition.
The competitors each made a 10-minute presentation on a technological subject of their own choice to an audience and judges.
The competition was sponsored and organised by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), in order to help young researchers improve their presentation skills. The competition was won by MSD student Anca Sticlaru, who gave a talk on computer vision using straight edges. The runner up was PhD student Zeba Khanam, who gave a talk about the automatic identification of weather conditions from photographs.
