Wivenhoe Park Day Nursery is situated in the beautiful parkland surroundings of our Colchester Campus, providing care and education for children from three months to five years of age, all year round. We are Ofsted registered and accept early years funding as well as Government Tax-Free Childcare. Staff and students can benefit from preferential rates.
We have a large team of qualified staff, which includes:
The nursery leadership team work out of ratio to provide a complementary level of quality and opportunity for the children to benefit from.
The nursery has eight rooms so that the children can be grouped by age. This helps the staff create a safe and secure environment suitable for the children’s needs and abilities. Each room has access to a beautiful outdoor learning environment, encouraging the children to play outside as often as possible.
We offer Forest Schools sessions to the children each week and also include a number of extracurricular activities as a way to provide experiences that the children may not have participated in before.
Our nursery is committed to supporting children’s communication skills. We use lots of different strategies to ensure children feel safe, welcomed, valued and accepted. Children will have equality of access to learning, and their preferred format for communicating will be recognised, for example, Makaton and visual strategies.
