Urban trees are increasingly exposed to drought stress due to climate change and constrained growing conditions. This talk presents experimental evidence on how drought affects physiological performance and biogenic volatile organic compounds emissions in urban tree species, and whether biochar amendment can enhance stress tolerance. The findings highlight improving urban sustainability through nature-based solutions.
