We are delighted to be hosting the third EPIIC conference on Facilitating Transformation in Healthcare in a World of Change through Partnerships and Collaboration. EPIIC represents Eastern Partnership for Innovations in Integrated Care involving six higher education institutions in the East of England: Anglia Ruskin University, University of Bedfordshire, University of East Anglia, University of Essex, University of Hertfordshire and University of Suffolk. EPIIC was born out of funding from NHS England to secure and magnify these universities as anchor institutions to support innovation, research and delivery of health and social care to meet the ever-changing needs of the community. Amidst significant changes and upheavals in the healthcare sector, and through strong partnership working and capacity building, EPIIC addresses inequalities in health and care and directly targets the needs of our community. We do this in close collaboration with our colleagues across the Integrated Care Systems and with workforce development, research and innovation and student involvement as key drivers. I am so looking forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the University. We have organised an exciting two days of research, innovation and impact, as well as time for networking, exploring new opportunities, fun, and activities! Please do register while places are still available and share this opportunity with your colleagues. It’s going to be a great event, see you all there!
Professor Victoria Joffe Dean of Integrated Health and Care Partnerships, University of Essex

About EPIIC

The Eastern Partnership for Innovations in Integrated Care (EPIIC) is a collaborative initiative across six Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the East of England. Its mission is to tackle health inequalities and transform integrated care systems through research, innovation, and knowledge exchange.

EPIIC focuses on:

  • Workforce Development – building capacity and resilience in health and care systems
  • Innovation for Sustainability – embedding new models of care
  • Service Access Improvement – addressing health inequalities
  • Research Translation – turning evidence into practice

EPIIC is powered by a strong partnership of six anchor universities:

  • University of Essex
  • University of Hertfordshire
  • University of Suffolk
  • University of East Anglia
  • Anglia Ruskin University
  • University of Bedfordshire

Together, these institutions work with Integrated Care Systems (ICS), voluntary and third-sector organisations, and service users to wrap care around the person, rather than treating health as isolated interventions.
