Radical Finance for All
How does money work for the public, and what does public even mean when it comes to financing for infrastructure like education? In this talk, researcher and organizer David I. Backer will discuss his new book As Public as Possible: Radical Finance for America’s Schools, critiquing the political economy of public finance and its relationship to racial capitalism, as well as describing radical policies that take up and take its injustice.

David I. Backer is an associate professor of education policy at Seton Hall University. His research and organizing focus on ideology and finance.
