Take a break and join us for a nature walk!

Join us for a walk around Wivenhoe Park with Lora Aziz who will tell us about the flower and fauna while unearthing folkloric and colonial histories amongst the trees. Lora will shed light on the impact of European grand tours and the traces of these expeditions on our local geography. She will also teach us about larger efforts to politicise the landscape and reclaiming a common land for the community.

This event is part of the public programme for Into the Woods, exhibiting at Art Exchange until 5 July 2025.

Free admission and all welcome! Meet at Art Exchange at 1pm.

About Lora Aziz:

Lora Aziz is an artist, wildcrafter and general busybody. Her practice reimagines contemporary cross-cultural relationships with land and nature through wildcrafting, community herbalism, and visual ethnobotany. She is co-founder of creative nature-based company Wyrd Flora which creates spaces across Essex to build ways of collective thinking and learning that promote and protect traditional plant knowledge and environmental equality.
