Your booking data will be shared with Event Essex who manages accommodation bookings at our Colchester campus during the university summer vacation.

The Advancement Office holds all data securely and follows data protection regulations, and we never sell your data to third party organisations. We are committed to maintaining a high standard of data – you can update your personal information or your communication preferences at any time online or by email. Terms, conditions and accommodation information

Group bookings

To book as a group and be allocated the same flat, there are two options. One person can book on behalf of everyone and pay for the entire group, or individual bookings can be made referencing the names of those in your group. This will ensure you are all in the same accommodation. 

If you wish to book for a group of more than 10 people, email us for instructions. 

Accommodation

Two accommodation options are available to choose from as part of our overnight ticket packages.

Single room with shared kitchen and bathroom in The Towers

Our recently-refurbished South Towers always have been and still are, the heart and soul of our Colchester Campus and a local landmark. The South Towers offers a great sense of community and social atmosphere just a two-minute walk to the centre of campus. Each tower is made up of flats to accommodate 14 to 16 people with shared facilities.

The second largest accommodation area on offer here at Essex. South Courts is near lots of green space and is a five-minute walk to the centre of campus. Each of the eight courts are arranged into en-suite flats with shared kitchens for four to fourteen students.

Alternative accommodation

If you don't fancy reliving your student days in accommodation, you can book a day ticket and arrange your own accommodation. Wivenhoe House Hotel is located on our Colchester Campus and, as alumni, you can take advantage of a 15% discount and complimentary upgrade (subject to availability). Just quote 'alumni' when booking via telephone on 01206 863666.

Booking an additional night of accommodation 

If you’re interested in staying an extra night on Friday 16 or Sunday 18 August, you can make a booking directly through our accommodation office, Event Essex. When booking your tickets, select that you are interested in staying additional nights and the link to book will be in your confirmation email.

Terms and conditions

• Booking closes on Wednesday 7 August at 4.30pm.
• The cost of the full reunion package ranges between £100-£110 per person and includes one night’s accommodation on Saturday 17 August, activities throughout the afternoon on campus, drinks reception at the end of the afternoon, evening barbecue, entertainment in the SU bar until late, breakfast vouchers for use at Essex Food Outlets and free parking.
• Campus tours will be available during the afternoon. Please be advised that this will cover a considerable distance, across varied terrains, and so sensible footwear should be worn. There will be stairs involved, however lift access will be available for those who require it.
• Please note that food and drink outlets, including the SU bar, are cashless.
• Overnight accommodation is either in South Towers where flats contain between 14 to 16 single rooms with shared facilities or South Courts where flats contain between 4 to 14 single en-suite rooms with shared kitchen facilities. Please note that we are unable to accept requests for specific rooms or flats. A welcome pack along with additional terms and conditions is available for overnight guests here. Complimentary bed linen, towels, toiletries and WiFi are provided. Both accommodation options are for single rooms, adults only.
• The cost of the day package is £45 per person and includes activities throughout the afternoon on campus, drinks reception at the end of the afternoon, evening barbecue, entertainment in the SU bar until late and free parking. 
• If your plans change, requests for refunds can be made before Wednesday 7 August.
• If you have made a group booking, the lead booker is responsible for checking all party members have seen and agreed to the above terms, conditions and code of conduct.
• We expect all members of our campus community to abide by our code of conduct. Please be respectful of others whilst enjoying our wonderful campus.
