This is your official invitation to be part of Essex history at our Graduation and 60th Celebration in New Delhi.

Come and celebrate the University's 60th anniversary, as well as your own achievements, on Sunday 18 February 2024 in New Delhi.

This historic event will bring alumni together to celebrate 60 years of making change happen. 60 years of boldness and bravery from our students past and present. 60 years of creating change.

During the ceremony, you will have the chance to shake hands and have your picture with the University's Vice-Chancellor on stage and inspiring members of the alumni community will be honoured with awards.

Tickets cost £15 and you can bring five guests for free. If you would like to bring more than five guests, you can purchase additional tickets.

You are part of our Essex family, and we look forward to seeing you there.

What should I wear?

All graduating students and alumni are required to wear academic robes. Graduation is a formal ceremony and as such smart clothing must be worn.

Graduates can wear what they feel fits their gender identity and expression best underneath their gowns, as long as it is smart. Denim, t-shirts, trainers, flip-flops and other items of casual clothing are not deemed appropriate for Graduation events.

International graduates who would like to wear their own national dress under their gown are very welcome to do so. Guests are encouraged to also wear smart attire.

Booking will remain open until Monday 29 January 2024 but may close early should the event reach capacity before this date. We recommend that you book tickets for yourself and your guests as soon as possible. There are a limited number of places available, and we are expecting it to be a popular event.
