A number of recent high-profile, mass resignations from journal editorial boards in protest at the inaccessibility and commercial profit of academic publishers have raised the question: "is there a better way?"
Join researchers, academic staff, librarians, and students in-person to watch and discuss the session "Editorial mass resignations: collective action towards open research" hosted by the University of Sheffield.
We will watch the online session together and then discuss the themes and questions it raises with Professor Ewen Speed, Professor of Health and Social Care at Essex, and a previous member of the editorial board of Critical Public Health.
Be a part of this important issue in research and explore one of the largest challenges facing academic publishing.
