Each year we will invite a leading woman working either in business or business academia, broadly defined, to give a seminar at EBS to mark IWD. IWD is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8 each year as a focal point in the women's rights movement, bringing attention to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women. This year we welcome Professor Federica Angeli of the University of York.

The session will be co-chaired by Theodora Bermpei (EBS ED&I lead) and Robert Taylor, Essex Business School. The event will be held as an online event this year. The structure of this year’s session will be a 30 minute presentation given by Federica, where she will in part share some of her personal and professional experience related to gender equity, followed by a Q&A session and everyone is very welcome to attend. You are also welcome to actively participate in the Q&A session.
