Following the winter vacation, the Department are delighted to welcome you back to Essex. Consider this your 're-induction' and a chance to refamiliarise yourself with essential services and support here at Essex.
No matter what stage you're studying in your undergraduate degree, you're welcome to attend our 'welcome back' events to meet others, and learn more about the free support and services available to you. Here's what we'll cover:
Recap your understanding of using Moodle, My Essex, and more. Join this Zoom meeting to find out more on how to make the most of essential resources for your course. We'll cover Moodle, MyEssex, FASER, and where to go to ask for help. Click to join the Zoom meeting at the start time. If you're unable to make this date, a second session has been scheduled for the following week.
"Back to Basics" Drop-in. Come along in-person to our Sociology Study Centre (5A.307) if you needed to ask our Study Support Manager any questions relating to your studies and wellbeing. No need to make any appointment, simply drop-by anytime between 2-4pm.
This will be a short 10-15 minute talk to learn more about our Students' Union and a chance to meet our Student Reps in the Department, plus find out more if you're interested in becoming a Student Rep yourself.
