Human Rights Week - Human Rights Movie Night: Argentina, 1985

The Essex Transitional Justice Network and the Human Rights Centre invite you to attend the screening of the new film Argentina 1985 which tells the story of The Trial of the Juntas - the trial against the leaders of Argentina’s dictatorship following the country’s democratic transition in 1983. The dictatorship in Argentina, between 1976 and 1983, was one of the bloodiest of the 20th century and tens of thousands were murdered or disappeared by the Junta. The screening will be followed by a drinks reception and discussion in the Law Common Room.

Hosts:

Sabine Michalowski is a professor at Essex Law School and co-director of the ETJN.

Ebba Lekvall is a lecturer at Essex Law School and co-director of the ETJN.
