Your department induction is an essential part of Welcome Week. The Department of Psychology are running a range of events throughout Welcome Week 2022.

Studying more than one subject? If you're studying a joint degree, you should access key support through your home department. If you're not sure which is your home department, you can find out on MyEssex.

Welcome to the Department of Psychology

During Welcome we will offer opportunities for you to meet your department, peers, find out more about your course, and studying at Essex.

Activities (these will vary depending on your year group) will include:

• A Welcome talk from your year tutor and other key academics – an essential talk to find out all you need to know about getting started here in the Department of Psychology at Essex.
• A chance for new students to meet their personal tutor and our peer mentors.
• An opportunity to meet socially with other students and academics at our Y1 Welcome quiz and lunch event on Square 1 (next to the department).
• A BYO department picnic for returning Y2 an Y3 students (weather depending).

More information about your induction will be available via your Essex email and on Moodle, which you will be invited to via your online registration process. Remember to check both of these regularly for dates, times and further details.
