You are warmly invited to this year's Annual Law Lecture: Dare to Dream: The Journey to becoming the first president of colour

The Annual Law Lecture is one of our most established events of the year offering students and professionals an excellent opportunity to network with local solicitors and law firms.

For the past 30 years, a highlight of the legal year has been the Essex Law Lecture, hosted by the School of Law with the support of the local profession through the Suffolk and North Essex Law Society (SNELS). Previous speakers have included senior judges, the Director of Public Prosecutions, HM Chief Inspector of Prisons, directors of NGOs, prominent legal practitioners and Members of Parliament.

This year, we are delighted to announce I. Stephanie Boyce, President of the Law Society of England and Wales as our guest of honour.  Stephanie will talk about her journey to becoming the first president of colour and the barriers she has faced to get there.
