Guest Speaker: Dr Beverley Vaughan ARISE Anglia Ruskin University

Dr Beverley Vaughan is director of the new innovation hub, Arise. The hub, which is funded by Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), and Essex County Council, supports innovative companies and entrepreneurs in Harlow and Chelmsford to grow their businesses.

Beverley re-joins ARU having previously worked as a senior lecturer in Biomedical Science, before taking on roles helping incubate bioscience business at Stevenage Biosciences Catalyst, Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult, and the University of Oxford.

Dr Vaughan leads on the strategic direction of ARU’s Arise Innovation Hubs and hopes to deliver on the bold vision of becoming a beacon of innovation, a powerhouse of the economic recovery after COVID-19, and a pride of the East of England’s business ecosystem. She leads the team that are focused on supporting emerging MedTech and HealthTech companies by connecting them to a wealth of business support.

Angels@Essex - Female Founders and Investors is a female-led network that helps female-led tech businesses to find the right investors.
