José Antonio Aguilar Contreras
José Antonio Aguilar Contreras a Mexican social entrepreneur.
He studied a BSc. Economics at the Mexican Autonomous Institute of Technology (ITAM) and an MBA at the University of Essex. In 2017, he founded "RacismoMX", a non-profit whose goal is to tackle racism through communication strategies, research, and education. In 2021, he was selected as fellow by the Echoing Green organisation, and currently he films the first documentary on racism in Mexico. See also University of Essex blog on Jose.
Marycarmen Lara-Villanueva
Marycarmen Lara- Villanueva is a Mexican-born research scholar and PhD student at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto. Anchored in anti-colonial and anti-racist theories, her research explores racism and anti-Black racism in visual representations with a focus in Mexico. She is also a coordinator at the Centre for integrative Anti-Racism Studies
