Participants of this session will learn about the key issues to consider when using secondary data analysis as a method.
Secondary analysis is a method which provides ways for you to expand your research profile and explore new topics without requiring a funding or additional time for data collection.
This introductory session will briefly introduce the UK Data Service, explain what the research process looks like for a re-use project, and examine the issues of re-contextualisation, sampling, and consent. This session will have practical demonstrations and give you the opportunity to start looking for data which would be of interest for your next project.
