Come and find out more about your course, meet key members of staff like your personal tutor, and meet the people you are going to be studying with.

How to attend - New Students

Join us online and find out more about the Sociology Study Centre and how it can support you during your course. 

Postgraduate Taught Student Induction 
Thursday 7 October 2021,  2.30pm-4.00pm. Room LTB8.

This will be an introduction to the Department with talks from the Head of Department, Postgraduate Taught Director, Subject Librarian and Student Union, Faculty Coordinator.

Meeting with Postgraduate Taught Degree Course Coordinators

Meet with your Postgraduate Course Directors.

Postgraduate Research Student Induction
Tuesday 5 October 2021 - 2.00pm-4.00pm, Room 6.348.

After a central Postgraduate Research Induction in the morning, you will be inducted into the Department in the afternoon. This will include talks from the Head of Department, Graduate Director, Study Support Manager and existing students. You will also meet with your Supervisor.
