Speed-friending for Southend Students' Union

We acknowledge that making new friends in a new environment, can be awkward and challenging some of the times.

As members of the Southend Essex SU, we try harder at breaking down the barriers to social interactions as we possibly can. Our speed-friending event offers a comfortable platform and a great way to meet other new students of Essex.

In a world where you can hangout on social media, and have hundreds of virtual friends, we present to you, the refreshing change that brings you face to face with a new friend. In this event you get to talk to other new students, develop a connection and make friends through play and a variety of matching up games. You get to all do this, over bottles of drinks in a congenial environment.

To be part of this event

It is a wristband entry event, so first, order your Welcome Fest wristbands. The Welcome Fest wristbands serve as tickets to all Southend SU Fresher's events. So you get to be part of this event at no extra cost to you.

Note that invitation is according to time slots allocation per the colour of your wristband. We therefore invite all those with:

• Black wristbands to the 6pm-7.30pm slot, and
• Red wristbands to the 8pm-9.30pm slot.
