Whitney Joseph graduated from Essex in 2012 with an LLB Law and is now a Banking & Finance Associate at Mayer Brown International. State-school educated, an ethnic minority and diagnosed with sickle cell disease, Whitney has faced many challenges throughout her education and career, but it hasn't stopped her.
Alongside her legal career Whitney is a passionate social mobility ambassador for the Law Society England and Wales, she also founded The City Prescription, an online platform sharing stories of people living and working with sickle cell disease to provide support and inspiration for young people with the condition.Whitney is a truly inspirational graduate.
In conversation with Dr Ugochi Amajuoyi, School of Law, Whitney joins us to share her experience at Essex and discuss the impressive career she has carved in just eight years.
