Induction to your new academic department is an essential part of Welcome Week.

Your department induction is a compulsory part of Welcome Week.

Come and find out more about your course, meet key members of staff like your personal tutor, and meet the people you’re going to be studying with.

What's going on?

As part of your Welcome Week you will be playing Among Us, a free mobile game, with your peer mentor and other students. One of you will be randomly allocated the role of imposter and the rest of the players in the lobby will be allocated the role of crewmember. The Impostor can win the game by killing all crewmembers without being found out, while the crewmembers can win the game by discovering who the impostor is. 

Towards the end of September, your peer mentor will send you an email with more details about the game, and the time and date you will be playing it. The subject of the email will be ‘Welcome Week – Playing Among Us’, so keep an eye out for it!

Studying more than one subject?

How to attend

Our departmental induction will be held virtually, online. More information about your department induction is now available on Moodle via Welcome Programme under 'Meet your Faculty and Department'.
