Exploring Linguistics

This free online course comprises daily sessions, specifically designed to introduce you to some of the most dynamic and cutting-edge topics within the field of linguistics today.

Each two hour session will be delivered by our expert academics, giving you the chance to meet the tutors, ask questions and discover what studying linguistics at postgraduate level is really like.

You can pick and choose which sessions to attend from the week-long schedule:

Sociolinguistics with Professor Monika Schmid and Dr Faith Chiu 
Monday 13th July 12pm - 2pm

Theoretical Linguistics with Dr Kyle Jerro, Dr Hannah Gibson and Dr Faith Chiu
Tuesday 14th July 12pm - 2pm

Applied Linguistics / Psycholinguistics with Professor Monika Schmid, Dr Tracey Costley and Dr Christina Gkonou
Wednesday 15th July 12pm - 2pm

TESOL with Dr Christina Gkonou
Thursday 16th July 12pm - 2pm

Teaching Practice with Dr Tracey Costley
