The Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition challenges doctoral students who have had their PhD confirmed to present a compelling oration on their thesis, and its significance, in just three minutes in language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.
Entrants have three minutes to present their thesis to the panel of judges and the audience. The judges are academic staff from the University. The panel of judges choose the winner and the audience choose an ‘audience choice’ winner.
If you are interested and would like to support our competitors, you are welcome to come along and join the audience. The competition offers a fascinating insight into the wonderful variety of research projects undertaken at Essex by our doctoral students.
