Livestreamed from Colchester via Zoom link
This event brings together researchers from across our three faculties together to discuss the broad topic of Behavioural Social Sciences.
Between 4pm and 5pm there will be a series of short 3 minute presentations from up to 15 speakers representing research across our three faculties.
Following this, there will be refreshments and networking to allow for discussion. Do come along and contribute to this new initiative aimed at enabling researchers to come together to share ideas and develop new research collaborations.
Behavioural Social Sciences encompasses a wide range of disciplines including Sociology, Psychology, Criminology, Economics, Political Science and Biological Sciences. The common theme of Social and Behavioural Science is to provide an insight into why individuals and groups behave as they do and also on how the environment impacts on behaviour. At Essex we have researchers across our three faculties who work in this broad area and we would like to invite you to put your name forward if you have an interest in giving a presentation.
The following speakers will be giving us an insight into their research:
Faculty of Humanities
Annecy Lax - Department of Literature, Film, and Theatre Studies
Dr Dimitris Akrivos - School of Law
Faculty of Science of Health
Professor Silke Paulmann - Department of Psychology
Dr Veronica Lamarche - Department of Psychology
