Community 360 are running an instructor led yoga session at 12pm followed by a Comedy Sketch Workshop at 1pm led by Ryan Curtis
Staff members and students are welcome to come to the Hex and take time out from your busy day and get creative.
An instructor led yoga session will start at 12pm with all equipment provided.
Yoga is a safe and effective way to increase physical activity, especially strength, flexibility and balance. There's some evidence that regular yoga practice is beneficial for people with high blood pressure, heart disease, aches and pains – including lower back pain – depression and stress.
This is followed by a Comedy Sketch Workshop at 1pm led by Ryan Curtis for any budding comedy writers or performers or people wishing to learn how to write a comedy sketch.
These Wellbeing activities are organised by Community360 who are in addition, looking to facilitate wellbeing activities and volunteering opportunities both on and off campus for members of staff and students suffering from low mood, depression, social isolation & loneliness to enable them to make positive changes in their lives and improve their wellbeing.
If you are interested in taking part in Social Prescribing or wish to run a wellbeing activity please visit the Hex and speak to a member of staff or email socialp@essex.ac.uk
