Join us at at the Library for a week of gaming fun! Just drop by to join in any board game or video game session. There will also be an Escape Room (must be booked in advance).

Take a look at our Games Week programme, there's something for everyone to enjoy!

  • Board Games - Come in to play a range of board games and put your skills to the test against fellow students.
  • Strategy games - Develop your problem-solving skills while playing some strategy board games and puzzles such as Quarto, Pentago and Kalaha.
  • Open Access Escape Room -Solve a range of puzzles to help us defeat a villain who has locked away all research at Essex, and learn all about Open Access.
  • Video Games - Relax and enjoy a range of video games at our evening drop-in sessions.
  • Play your way to better grades - Learn essential search skills while having fun. Drop in to try your hand at our range of Library games that will help with your assignments.
  • Library Advisory Group - Drop in between 12 and 2pm on the 6th of November for free snacks & interactive activities. The theme of this term's meeting is 'Design Your Library of the Future,' and all are welcome to take part in this informal discussion. What spaces should we provide? What expertise would you want Library staff to have? Come and share your thoughts. You bring the ideas, we’ll bring the snacks!
