Language & Linguistics Taster Day 2019

Languages give you access to other countries, people, cultures and conversations. Linguistics teaches you how language is learnt, and used everyday - in the media, work place and with our family and friends.

So, when you study language and linguistics, you open the door to a whole new world.

What is a Taster Day? 

Throughout the year, Essex holds a series of exciting Taster Days for students in year 11 and those studying at sixth form and college level. These events will give you an in depth experience of studying a subject at university, as well as providing an opportunity to speak with current staff and students.

All events are open to students attending as individuals or to teachers bringing groups of students, and this year, the schools links team will be offering a travel bursary up to £100 to cover your travel costs for the Taster Day should you be eligible.
