Research seminar series: 'Whittingham Lives: learning from the past to imagine better futures'

This workshop will present the work of a substantial community heritage and arts project framed by the archives of Whittingham County Asylum in Lancashire.

Participant discussion will engage with the value of community engagement grounded in creative and historical activities, connections with recovery ideals, contemplation of key aspects of mental health care, inclusion and identity, and linking historical and contemporary debates regarding matters of conscience in society and care services.
