In week 23, we are joined by Dr James Canton to deliver their workshop to our Translation and Interpreting students.

 

In this seminar, you will have the opportunity to discuss with James Canton, the author of Out of Essex: Re-imagining a Literary Landscape the challenges of translating their text into your chosen languages, and ask any questions you may have about the specific passage you are translating. 

If you are considering a literary translation for your dissertation, it is also an opportunity to develop an awareness of issues arising from the translation of literary texts in general.
