Our series of workshops will help you get to grips with algebra.
'Solving' an algebraic equation just means manipulating the equation so that the variable is by itself on one side of the equation and everything else is on the other side of the equation. Once 'everything else' is simplified, the equation is solved. We will learn learn how to do this together and look at the value of using different methods of solution to confirm answers.
You can book this stand-alone workshop or the series of 4 Algebra workshops: Evaluating Formulae, Rearranging Formulae, Solving Equations, and Problem solving using simultaneous equations.
The TDC will be offering a range of maths and statistics workshops throughout the term. Visit our Helpdesk in the Silberrad Student Centre to find out more.
