Booking confirmation
Once you’ve booked your place we'll send you a confirmation email with more information on what to expect on the Open Day. No need to print the confirmation email as we'll have your details at our check in desks on the day – simple!
Open Day Booker's Pack
If you book more than two weeks before the event, we’ll send you an Open Day Information Pack which includes the programme to make sure you’re fully prepared for the day. Please bring this with you on the day so we can help save the trees! Don’t worry if you book within two weeks as we’ll be handing out programmes and freebies on the day.
Special requirements
If you or your guests have any special requirements, please email us in advance so we can make sure your visit is as smooth as possible. If you're a visitor with a disability, please let a member of staff know so they can advise you on accessible routes around campus. If you would prefer a personal tour of our campus and/or accommodation, then let us know when you check in and we'll arrange for a Student Ambassador to guide you.

Travel and accommodation
Arrival
You're welcome to arrive any time from 9.30am to register on the Open Day (don’t worry, we always put the kettle on earlier than this in case of any early arrivals!). The Open Day officially finishes at 3.30pm.
When you arrive head to our friendly staff in the Forum who will register your arrival. We’ll only ask for your name so there’s no need to bring anything with you. Next, head to our Welcome Café, grab a free tea and coffee, put your feet up and customise your Open Day.
Getting to us by car
Southend is just half an hour from the M25 via the A13 or A127. For sat navs, postcode SS1 1LW provides the correct route directions.
Parking
There is plenty of town centre parking in public car parks. The closest car park is located underneath University Square student accommodation which accessed via College Way and is payable by phone only. We would recommend that you download the app before arriving at the car park- information on the app is here: To register please visit Mobon.
Getting to us by train
There are frequent trains from London to Southend which is served by two different rail lines, with journey times of 45 minutes to one hour:
- Southend Victoria (0.3 miles from our campus) to London Liverpool Street - operated by Abellio Greater Anglia
- Southend Central (0.2 miles from our campus) to London Fenchurch Street - operated by c2c
