Find out more about what your lecturers are expecting from you in your assignments, and how to avoid any problems.
Moving to study in another country is challenging, and it can sometimes be difficult to know exactly what is expected of you in a new educational culture.
In this session, which has been especially designed for international Study Abroad students, we will look at both what university study means in the UK, and what is meant by scary terms like “academic integrity” and “plagiarism”. This will help you to approach the assignments you do in your time at Essex with confidence, and find out more about the help that is available to you throughout the year.
This event is being run by the Talent Development Centre for Essex Abroad.
The Talent Development Centre is here to help you succeed in your studies and achieve your potential. We offer support and resources to help improve your writing, maths, research, study skills and English language, no matter what your discipline or level of study.
Come to our Helpdesk in the Silberrad Student Centre to find out more about our services, and how we can help.
Essex Abroad welcomes international students coming to Essex for a period of study, and supports them in having an outstanding experience. Visit their website for more details.
