Essex Book Festival returns this March to celebrate the book, in all its forms, with audiences all over the county.

Established in 1999 by Essex County Council, and based within our Centre for Creative Writing, the Festival invites both local writers and those from all over the world to participate in an exciting programme of activities.

Throughout the month the Festival will play host to over 60 events in over 30 different venues across the county, beginning with the Festival Launch Evening by Billy Bragg on Wednesday 28 February.
