The weather might be chilly but you will be warmly welcomed to our global community here at the University of Essex.

There are some important things to do before you start your course including registration, getting to grips with your IT account and accessing your timetable.

In your first weeks at University, as well as settling into your studies, you'll also have chance to explore your new campus, and to get involved in events, activities, clubs and societies organised by your University and Students' Union.

Your Students' Union

As a member of the University, you are automatically a member of the Students' Union.  As well as being the representative voice for students, the SU offers a huge range of venues, services, social events as well as volunteering, clubs and societies.  Find out more via essex.su
