Hustling Minimalism: Performance in Warhol’s Cinema

The Philosophy and Art History Research Seminar meets weekly in term on Thursday afternoons to discuss a paper by a visiting philosopher, art historian, or a member of our academic staff.

This week's speaker is University of Liverpool film and media expert Gary Needham.

Gary's research interests include include experimental, oppositional and alternative film making histories, as well as Andy Warhol. Having recently hosted a workshop discussing Warhol’s 60 cinematic productions 1963 – 1967 and the relationship shared between art and the moving image, Gary will focus on performance in Warhol's cinema during this week's seminar.

The seminar will be followed by informal drinks at Top Bar and a meal.
