HRC Speaker Series: Dr Dimitrina Petrova

Dr Dimitrina Petrova is the co-founder of the Equal Rights Trust and from 2006 - 2016 she led the organisation as Executive Director. The Trust advances equality worldwide through advocacy, litigation and support for equality movements. Previously she headed the European Roma Rights Centre, an international human rights organisation based in Budapest, of which she was the founding Executive Director since 1996 and which has been the recipient of a number of awards for pioneering work on racial equality. Since 1997, she has also been Visiting Professor at the Central European University and is currently a Visiting Professor at the College of Europe and a Fellow at the Human Rights Centre, University of Essex.
