The Hook Open Mic is pretty legendary on the University of Essex campus, and this year it’s even bigger and better than ever!

Musicians, poets, spoken word artists and live performers – come and take the spotlight. We provide a guitar, keyboard, two mics and an eager audience. You bring the rest.

Don’t fancy braving the stage? Sit back and watch the talent on offer – and make the most of our fully stocked bar.
