Ana-Laura Mendez-Araya

Contributes to the Centre for Trauma, Asylum and Refugees, University of Essex

Ana-Laura Mendez-Araya has over 12 years of experience working with refugees, migrants, children. She also has experience working in human rights and humanitarian issues mainly in Latin America. She has worked in different capacities for NGOs, UN agencies, think-thanks, diplomatic missions and international organisations. 

Professor Stefano Carta

Professor of Dynamic and Clinical Psychology, University of Cagilari

Professor Stefano Carta is a Psychologist and Jungian analyst who graduated from the C.G. Jung Institue in Zurich. He is a Professor of Dynamic and Clinical Psychology and of Ethno-Psychology at the University of Cagliari and he is an honorary Professor at the Department of Psychosocial and Psychoanalytic Studies at the Univeristy of Essex.

Nikos Gionakis

Member

Co-Founder, Babel Day Centre

Nikos Gionakis graduated from the University of Padua in Applied Psychology and then obtained his MSc degree in Social and Child Physiatry at the University of Ioannina. In 2007 he co-founded, the Babel Day Centre in Athens, the only specialist state-funded mental health unit for migrants and refugees in Greece.
