Throughout the week, our Sustainability, Facilities, Grounds and Travel teams hosted information gazebos across the campus squares, offering advice, and insights into the university’s environmental initiatives. They were joined by inspiring students from Edge Hotel School who proudly showcased their own sustainability projects from fast fashion consumption to recycling.
Meanwhile, the VTeam made a huge impact through their popular Repair Café and clothes exchange sale. Students and staff were able to repair broken electronics, give pre-loved clothing a new home, and reduce waste in the process. This demonstrates that small actions really can make a meaningful difference.
Last week was a fantastic celebration of community, creativity, and climate-conscious thinking. A huge thank you to everyone who took part, volunteered, or stopped by an event. Together, we’re building a more sustainable university one conversation at a time.
The Sustainability Engagement team will be focusing on water saving in the coming months so keep a look out for further communications around this topic.
